The quaint café that coasts between California and Coastal fare also has a pretty ace bar that cruises on a spirited path, churning out some potent mixes. Full on kitsch and bathed in sunlight, thanks to bay windows, with a tiny outdoor sit-out that is very popular, this two-floor spot is the village’s not-so-secret secret that we almost wish won’t get out. From their mixology experiments, try the Spiced Old Fashion for a desi twist or The Chowpatty — an excellent rendition of a balanced aam panna margarita that comes with a mean tart hit. It’s a pretty looking drink, but just make sure to ask for only half a salt rim. We love the fact that they have a separate gin and tonic section, from which the Pom Basil Tonic — gin, fresh basil leaves, pomegranate kernels with tonic is the perfect drunch drink. To go with these, try their go-to signature dish — Original Baja California Fish Tacos in the beer-battered variant. Wholesome and messy, these are the perfect pub grub. A close second is their Mustard Tossed Home Fries. We suggest you spend a leisurely afternoon or an early evening sipping on their cocktails as the indie-inspired play list sets the mood in the background.
