Mithuna is a Sanskrit concept that revolves around a reflection on gender; the dance is about coming together of diversities and exploding confrontation of differences. M.L Bharti Auditorium presents an evening of live Mithuna performance in form of a contemporary dance show.
The story of this company is poetic and is built upon years of trust and creative practices. It comes as a love story between French contemporary dancers and professional Kathakali dancers of India. Witness the love story between Leday (from France) and Kerala.
Director and choreographer Annette Leday has developed a unique approach to inter-cultural contemporary creation. After training as an actress in France, she went to India in 1978 and spent a year in Madras studying Bharata Natyam with the Dhananjayans and Kathakali at Kalakshetra with Djanardhanan Sir.
