The play is about a kingdom where the King#39;s prime minister is an opportunistic and scheming fellow. When the administrative head dies, the prime minister convinces the king to appoint his brother-in-law as the new kotwal, instead of the havaldar who actually deserves the post. The havaldar plots with his sweetheart to teach a lesson to the new kotwal. This comedy brings out the political schemings by the people in power.
