The play is the story of Rosalind who is the Duke’s daughter and is living with her cousin Celia as her father has been banished and exiled. They leave behind the court and start their journey to the Forest of Arden. In order to protect her cousin, Rosalind disguises herself as a boy. The plot intensifies when both of them fall in love with another Duke’s sons who dislike each other despite being brothers.
