Asmita Theatre is bringing back its annual winter theatre festival, spread over 18 days. The schedule is as follows:
6:30 pm, 9 January: Ismatnama
This play is based on the various stories by Ismat Chugtai that deal with issues such as female sexuality, middle class gentility and other modern day conflicts.

6:30 pm, 10 January: Ruburoo
This play is a collage of selected stories by famous authors and deals with the many issues plaguing society today.

6:30 pm, 17 January: Sardar Ji
The play is based on stories by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, Swadesh Deepak, Anton Chekhov and Shilpi Marwaha.

6:30 pm, 23 January: Kahaniyan Hee Kahaniyan
The play is based on the stories by Rabindra Nath Tagore and Jai Shankar Prasad.

7 pm, 24 January: Tara
Written by Mahesh Dattani, this play talks about gender discrimination, personal relationships, hypocrisy and other issues that are there in an Indian family.

7pm, 26 January: Court Martial
The play is based on the story of recruit Ram Chander who is on trail for murdering one of his officers and injuring another one. The trail is being presided over by a war veteran Col. Surat Singh, a man who has witnessed many life-and-death situations. Over the course of the trial, Singh realises that the case is not as simple as it seems.
