The team behind Summer House Café is back with a new spot that will have curated cocktails, tapas style food and a great event list. Expect small cocktail tables in a chic set up and fabulous music playing in the background. And hey, you’re still (almost) in The Village! We’ll get you an exclusive low-down soon, so stay tuned.

Vapour Grill, Gurgaon
After hitting it out of the park with their bar exchange, the team behind Vapour is back with a dedicated space for all barbeque lovers. This one has more than 80 dishes on its menu replete with a Mongolian tava. We are told that the menu will keep changing every week with seasonal specials and chef’s choice. Fresh beer from the brewery above and a barbeque on the table under one roof – we ain’t complaining!
Junglee Billee, GK
A bar that claims to be designed exclusively for women, the place is high on vintage essence yet exudes a modern aura. With the incredibly talented Chef Saby as their consultant and designer Nida Mahmood working on the quirky interiors, this is a promising visual and culinary ride. We’ll be taking a ride here soon to tell you more about their bespoke cocktails and kitsch setup.
Café Public Connection, CP
The city’s taken to good old Connaught Place like never before with something new opening in every block. Café Public Connection is one of them with a massive 2-floor space and a rooftop view that’s breathtaking. That’s where the good news ends though and we think they need to work a lot on their drinks and food before justifying their great location. A beautiful space marred by a below average menu.

A holla to MTV for opening their first-ever themed café in the Capital! A co-working space by day that turns into a partying spot as the evening progresses – this soon-to-open place is touted to break Social’s monopoly in this domain. We hear whispers of shower cubicles for people who work through the day and want to get fresh before they dance the night away. Watch this space for more.

Niche Lounge Bistro, CP
Located in Outer Circle just above Chew, this one has roped in Australia’s popular mixologist Matthew Radalj to create whimsical cocktails that will focus on locally and internationally sourced ingredients.

SECOND COMING
This month is all about second editions – from the much loved Social Offline that’s set to open doors in Connaught Place later this month in the Odeon building to the molecular gastronomy giant Farzi Café also getting ready to launch in the heart of the city. If that’s not exciting enough, then actor Dharmendra’s flagship Garam Dharam will soon open in the burgeoning Rajouri Garden market. And after CyberHub and Sangam Courtyard, dedicated food spaces seem to be the mantra of the moment with one such space being planned in Punjabi Bagh. We also hear Buzz is setting up shop in Saket again.
