Town Hall

Khan Market has seen the opening and the dying town of multiple bars in the last few years. The survivors in this unpredictable spot have been the old players and among these is the sushi-loving Town Hall. When it was just a few months old, we declared it to be among the best resto-bars in town and more than a year later, we are happy that the status remains unchanged. Choose their indoor spot for a more intimate meal or a spot on their lovely terrace for a more fun night out with the friends. The music too is one of the best collections of familiars songs remixed to upbeat tunes and laidback lounge tracks with a foot thumper here or there. In tandem, the cocktail menu covers all spirits and every fruit or spice you can name. Mangola comes with shreds of raw mango and hints of lime with white rum; while you’ll end up chomping on the drunken chunks of watermelons with vodka, kaffir lime and lime in Summer Howdawn. The cocktails are generously boozy and not brimming with sugar, which is a big plus. They offer a section of Luxury Cocktails mixed with premium alcohol and from this, Blossom (Rs 575) shines bright and features gin with fresh kiwi mixed melodiously with peach schnapps. For teetotallers, the Thai Iced Tea with condensed milk is refreshing. As far as food goes, the superb sushi bar presided over by jovial Chef Augusto is a must try, though the dim sum falls short. If you want something hot with your drinks, go for the Crispy Congee Mushrooms or the Peanut Paneer — creamy cottage cheese smeared with peanut sauce under creamy potato dauphinois. A rare space styled like a funky loft, we recommended you make reservations before you go here.  Resto-Bar                 11am to Midnight Critic Review Nightlife Review Buzz: 3.5/5 | Décor: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 - By Deepali Gupta Just when we had come to consider Khan Market as a thing of the past, it began sprouting up some gems. For the past few years, the bars here had been luring in a young crowd by way of hookahs and long happy hours, but overlooking quality. Town Hall swept in just in time to save the day. We advice you abandon whatever presumptions you might have about this one at the bottom of their staircase. Yes, their sushi bar presided over by jovial Chef Augusto is an ace, but their bar menu also keeps pace. Styled like a spacious loft, the interiors have an instant happy effect and there has been great attention paid to every detail, including the music – a good mix of lazy laidback tunes and foot thumpers. The cocktail menu covers all spirits and every fruit or spice you can name. Mangola comes with shreds of raw mango and hints of lime with white rum; while you#39;ll end up chomping on the drunken chunks of watermelons with vodka, kaffir lime and lime in Summer Howdawn. The cocktails are generously boozy and not brimming with sugar, which is a big plus. They offer a section of Luxury Cocktails mixed with premium alcohol as well. From this, Blossom at Rs 575 (before taxes) shines bright and features gin with fresh kiwi mixed melodiously with peach schnapps. For teetotallers, the Thai Iced Tea with condensed milk is refreshing. As far as food goes, if sushi doesn#39;t do it for you, try the Crispy Congee Mushrooms or the Peanut Paneer – creamy cottage cheese smeared with peanut sauce under creamy potato dauphinois. Town Hall is that rare space where you could go for a good dinner or pop in for a casual night of drinking, although we recommended you make reservations first as it#39;s almost always full. They also have a terrace area we#39;ll be parking ourselves at as soon as the weather permits. Critic reviews are anonymous and all bills are paid by What#39;s Hot.
