ONLINE
Place Of Origin
If you are not already a fan of Place Of Origin, this Diwali might just be the right occasion to check out their indigenous collection of local specialties. They handpick interesting products from across the country, so it’s possible that you’ll get lost browsing their extensive selection. Instead, we suggest you go straight to their chocolate section for artisanal varieties and new flavours. Mumbai-based Bean Therapy offers a delightful selection in flavours like Elaichi, Saunf, Black Pepper and Mango, Watapi Coffee and Guntur Chilli. Looking for vegan options? Do check out Auroville-based Mason Co’s that has 3 variants made from organic Indian beans.

Bruijn
With a name inspired by a Dutch explorer and a concept imported from Dubai, Bruijn retails handmade couture confectionery including premium quality nuts and dates as well as stuffed figs, but we are fans of their pure cocoa chocolates. For this season, they’re experimenting with cream-based chocolates in combos like lemon and white chocolate besides the likes of white chocolate truffles with a coffee flavour – all of which come in special festival hampers with reusable platters.

The Chocolate Girl
RJ turned home baker Neeti Bhargav started her venture back in 2010 and since then, her menu has grown to include truffles, nutty caramel bars, liquor chocolates and the ilk. While some things on her menu remain constant, she does plan limited run goodies for different seasons. Her fall/winter collection 2015-16 includes Ganache bites and Le Papillon truffles, both in plain and liquor collection. Though her liquour chocolates – Appletini, Irish Coffee, Orange Screwdriver etc – are an absolute hit with customers, for a more personalised gift, do check out her Zodiac range that is made keeping in mind flavours that appeal to different sun signs.
