The story revolves around two sisters, one of whom is intellectually brilliant paraplegic, while the other is a plodding writer. Both are dependent on each other, and live together, yet reside in altered emotional as well as linguistic worlds of English and Hindi. The troubled arrangement occurs, because both the sisters are involved with the same man, and due to their separate as well as combined reactions to the way of life.
