Contemporary Arts Week is a first of its kind multi–venue broad spectrum arts week in the country, and its fourth edition is going to be all about showcasing dance, music, photography, theatre, short films, puppetry, clowning, improv theatre and spoken word. A week long affair across 15 different venues, with over 400 artists, this is a great time to be in the city.
We have handpicked a few things that you must do this week - starting with Kutle Khan and a host of other artistes performing at the Nehru Park tonight.
Salsa Night, Summer House Cafe
Show off your dancing skills and take your date out for a salsa night at the hotspot Summer House Café. With free entry to the space, you can walk in to learn some moves from experts, or just let your hair loose this weekend!

Slam Poetry, Korean Centre
Bring out the poet in you, and brave brutal criticism while you listen to other talented souls from the city. Voice your opinion, or just say something meaningful!
When: October 17th; 7:30 pm onwards
Short Movies, Cyber Hub
Backed by a community of short-film makers and enthusiasts HumaaraMovie, talented young diectors and actors are finding a stage for themselves. Grab some popcorn and enjoy a slew of independent films screened at the amphitheatre.
When: October 18th; 7:30 pm onwards
Story Telling, Zorba
Anant Dayal will be enacting a solo piece, telling a story through spoken word, with rhythm and music that will be played on the piano accordion. Based on a collection of Japanese folk tales, this is going to be a rare kind of performance in the city.
When: October 19th; 6 pm onwards
Walk In The Garden with Music + Poetry, Lodi Gardens
World Ethnic Music Ensemble aka W.E.M.E is a band inspired by the folk music from Europe, Middle East as well as India. Walk around the city’s famous green space with these artistes from different backgrounds and enjoy impromptu music and poetry sessions.
