The Australian High Commission presents - Ben Walsh, Big City Harmonics and Tarqeeb, live at Band stand, this Saturday. The event brings to the city one of the most accomplished percussionists and performers, Ben Walsh, with his new solo project, Remix Experiment.
Known for his high-energy, frenetic drum style, his latest project ‘Remix Experiment’ brings a multimedia wall of sound and vision and features a union of jazz-infused heavy bass lines, fused with modern technology ins a show that will be featuring live improvised music.
City Harmonics is a solo project of Rohan Hastak, a former guitarist turned live electronica act. Influenced by the likes of Bonobo, Four Tet and Nightmares on Wax, Rohan’s practical knowledge and intuitive ear for music made it easy for him to get a hang of sampling and looping. Tarqeeb aka Ashish Jose made his mark in 2012, with a simple idea of enhancing the quality of EDM. Coming from a Metal (bassist) and Psychedelic trance background, his sets naturally include a good dose of live sampling, layering and an overall of eclectic music.
