Vivanta by Taj presents Colorama by Art Tree, as an attempt to promote various art forms in the country and support artists. A one of its kind intiative, the six months long show will showcase commissioned artworks by - A Shreedharan, Dhyan Passika, Madhur Sen Radhika Surana and Sourabh Mazumdar.
Dhyan Passika from Bangalore, belongs to the generation of contemporary artists that emerged in the wake of the influence of senior contemporary artists of the yesteryears. His work comes as an intersection between architecture, sculpture spatial analysis. An engineer by profession, Shreedharan began experimenting with colors on canvas some years ago; he primarily does geometric abstract.
Madhur Sen graduated from Delhi College of Arts in 1986 in sculpture. She had many solo and group shows in India and abroad. She combines sculpture and pottery to develop new forms of expression. Experimenting with newer ways to deploy animal and human forms particularly interests her. Pankaj’s art is full of expression—thoughts, emotions, and feelings. His paintings depict his observations about people and their innermost fears and desires.
Sourabh Mazumdar belongs to a family of musicians and music lovers from Allahabad. He had the honor of being selected for the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation Exhibition held at Lalit Kala Academy, and his work has been displayed at various places, both India and abroad. Radhika is a graduate in fine arts from Rajasthan University. She has had solo performances in Udaipur and Gurgaon, at India Habitat Centre Delhi, Patna, Varanasi and Jaipur.
