Lalit Arpan presents a two day Kathak Dance Festival, continuing the guru shishya tradition. Paying homage to Padmasahree Guru Shovana Narayan, all four disciples/artists - Shruti Gupta Chandra, Supriya Sathe, Mrinalini and Kartika Sing, of the famous Kathak danseuse, will present a selected pieces from their Guru#39;s selection.
On October 10th the event will feature - Ganga Stuti by Shruti G. Chandra and Supriya Sathe, followed by a solo performance – Yashodhara by Shruti and Chaand by Supriya. On October 12th, there will be a solo live act anguish of Draupadi by Kartika Singh and gazal of Shovana by Mrinalini. Besides these acts, each artist will perform the abhinaya sequences,performs pure dance sequences set to teen taal, dhamar and 11 beats.
