Dr. Mridula Tandon presents – ‘Lafzon Ke Phool’, as a tribute to renowned poet and lyricist Nida Fazli. The evening will be featuring poetry by Lakshmi Shanker Bajpayi, Nazim Naqvi, Subodh Lal Mamta Kiran and Ghazals by Ustad Shakeel Ahmed.
Awarded the Padma Shri in 2013, Nida was an eminent litterateur known best for his excellent work in the field of writing and poetry. The artists participating will talk about the poet and his work and recite some of Fazli Saheb’s as well as their own verse. This will be followed by an evening of Ghazals, by the exceedingly talented and accomplished Shakeel Ahmed. The ghazals featured in the evening will include both those which are well known songs and also have new compositions of Nida Fazli’s poetry which have not been sung earlier and which have been composed for the first time by the singer, Shakeel Ahmed.
