Shakespeare created the frightful yet strong character of Lady Macbeth, who schemed to get king Duncan murdered in order to see her husband General Macbeth throned as the next king of Scotland. The performance, choreographed by Prabal Gupta, presents a Streevesham kathakali performance, depicting the story via dance.
The event will feature - research guidance by Guru Sri Sadanam Balakrishnan, lyrics in Sanskrit by Sri Shankar Rajaram, music composition and vocal support by Sri Sadanam Sivadasan, Chenda and Edakkya by Sri Sadanam Ramakrishnan, Maddalam by Sri Sadanam Devadasan, choreography and narration in English by Prabal Gupta.
