Set in the 1980s Sikh separatist movement, Chauthi Koot or Fourth Direction is an Indian film in Punjabi. The film is based on the short stories The Fourth Direction and I Am Feeling Fine Now of Indian author Waryam Singh Sandhu’s 2005 collection. Released in 2015, the film was screened in the Cannes Film Festival and won the title of Best Asian Feature Film at the Singapore International Film Festival 2015.
The movie is being screened as part of the best selection of Dharamshala International Film Festival from 2015. The director will also be present at the screening for a discussion thereafter.
