‘Devdasi - The Eternal Dancer’ present a perceptive of the divisive lives of Devadasis, who were temple dancers of ancient India, and were ritually wedded#39; to the Lord. Initially held in high esteem, their reputation came down to a point where their dances in temple received and a ban, forcing them to live in oblivion.
Conceptualised, scripted and choreographed by Jyotsna Shourie while the music is given by O.S Arun and Sudha Raghuraman. The Bharatnatyam performing live are - Nandita Kalaan Mehra, Aneesha Grover, Amrita Sivakumar, Himanshu Srivastava, Shreyasi Gopinath and Aadya Jain.
