Sadar Bazaar
Not for the faint hearted, as you need real brawling energy to enter and then maneuver this one, Sadar Bazaar is worth the effort. A permanently crowded and somewhat chaotic area, Sadar is home to everything cheap and in bulk, since it’s one of the biggest wholesale markets around. From household items, cosmetics, lingerie, bridal wear, fashion accessories, footwear, toys to sports goods – you name it, and they have it.

Greater Kailash
The popular South Delhi hub that was a part of every street smart fashionistas shopping list before the mall mania hit, the M-Block and N-Block market are still going strong. Be it costumes, dresses, junk jewellery, hip footwear or casual staples – both markets are a good stop for scouting out the latest trends at affordable rates.

Central Market At Lajpat Nagar
Right opposite Defence Colony, this one is a smaller replica of our beloved Sarojini Nagar market, but with a wider range of goods. Flock here for garment fabrics, household items, small furniture, clothes, footwear, cosmetics and even accessories at dirt-cheap rates. And once you’re tired, follow your nose and stomach to the bylanes of Lajpat for some delicious street food.

Tibetan Market
Popularly known as Monastery Market, vendors here stock everything that highlights Tibetan culture and traditions. From food to clothes, it’s a mini Tibet in the heart of the city. Better suited for boys than girls in terms of the products on offer, the market has traditional handmade Tibetan garments as well as rip-offs of branded shoes besides traditional artefacts like statues, shawls, paintings and precious stones. There are also some authentic Tibetan restaurants close by, so go hungry!

Hanuman Mandir Market
