Nordic Raga is a group known for its experiments with earthy Nordic (Scandinavian) folk music with lively improvisations. They draw their inspiration from fluid improvisational structures belonging to Indian Classical Music weaved with lively scales, rhythms and patterns of the Nordic tradition.
Started in 2014, the band has performed in Scandinavia, UK and Stockholm, and is now on its India tour. The group members include Jyotsna Stikanth-a Bangalore-based violinist and vocalist, Dan Svensson- Sweden born percussionist and vocalist, Pär Moberg- Sweden based musician who plays saxophone, didgeridoo, flute and harmonica, and Sweden-based violinist Erika Risinger.
