Based on Burhi Aair Sadhu (Grandma’s Tales), a popular compendium of folk stories compiled by Assamese author and poet Lakshminath Bezbaroa, Kathanodi is a critically acclaimed film which has the title of Asian Cinema Fund’s Post Production Fund Award 2015 to its credit. First screened in October 2015, the film also won the Best Feature Film in Assamese award in the 63rd National Film Awards.
The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film curated by renowned Film Critic Shubhra Gupta.
