Antar Yatra- The Journey Within is the annual fundraiser of AIM for Seva (All India Movement for Seva). It is a dance-drama which gives the audience a glimpse into the inner world of the women dancers of India. Through a mélange of songs sung in six different languages, the narration invites its audience to travel between the real and the make-believe with three classical Indian dance forms- Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi and Odissi.
The theme of this year’s production is ‘Temple Dance Traditions’, expressed through the elements of multiple voices of the narrator, art of puppetry and Pinnal Pollattam, a traditional folk dance of Tamil Nadu. The narration will tour seven cities including Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Delhi, Bangalore and Bhuvaneshwar.
