Legendary singer Ustad Ghulam Ali Sahab and Pandit Vishwanath will be performing live this Saturday to mark World Music Day. Famed ghazal singer Ustad Ghulam Ali Sahab from Pakistan is considered to be one of the pioneer musicians of his era and is revered across India and the world. A disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Chhote Ghulam Ali, he has been trained in the Qawwal Bachhon ka Gharana. He brings a balance of Hindustani classical music with ghazals, which is his unique signature style. Chupke Chupke Raat Din, Kal Chaudhvin Ki Raat Thi and Hungama Hai Kyon Barpa are some of his most loved ghazals.
He will be joined by Pandit Vishwanath, who is another respected classical singer belonging to the Kirana gharana. Apart from core classical music, he is equally adept at thumris, dadra, bhajans and ghazals and has been awarded scholarship for excellence in Hindustani classical vocal music.
