Parvati Peaking Music Festival
The happy hills of Parvati Valley play host to this four day fiesta that you can check out this weekend. A Psy Trance festival, it offers a complete experience along with the chance to meet other solo travellers, trek through Malana and catch up over homemade tea. You also get to live outdoors in camps and groove to artists such as Painkiller, Logic Bomb, Select Project, XP Voodoo, Pindrop, Spacelord and more. A road trip meets music festival sounds like a match made in heaven, right?

Clearly, Kasol is THE place to this summer. The Kundalini Shakti Festival embraces our inner power and channelises all that energy in the right direction with music and the mountains for company. This year’s festival will include artists such as Upgrade (Israel), Pantomiman (Russia) and Sonic Entity (Serbia) along with renowned Indian artists. It does not get any better than meditation and music together!

The third edition of this boho festival is back, and this time around too, it’ll be in the lush lap of Himachal where Trance heads can indulge in amazing music and laidback chill scenes. The three day festival is bringing together the best of Progressive, Goa Trance and Deep Forest Tunes to help beat this maddening heat and how! Kasol’s synonymous with the Boom Shankar state of mind and this psychedelic fest in the heart of hippieland brings together music, laser shows, fireworks, ayurveda and yoga camps, performances and even an exciting flea market – all under one roof. Give into the Lord Of Dance, Nataraja as you groove to the trippiest trance at the three day open air affair with acts by Patryk Nuuskamuikkunen from Medulla Oblongata (Poland), Kira Mika (Russia) and Kyriakos Looney (Greece) among the other 15+ international artists scheduled to perform.

The celebrated Ziro fest started by some members of Menwhopause might be happening a little after peak summer season, but it’s totally worth the long wait. Touted as “India’s greatest outdoor music festival”, they have quite a great list of artists who’ve performed here. Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth, USA), Lou Majaw, Indus Creed, Shaa’ir n Func and of course, Menwhopause have all played at this coveted music fiesta that offers a unique experience of the Northeast. The early bird, discounted tickets are on sale now, so make a plan to soak in the beauty, culture and people of Arunachal. The lineup of international and Indian artists includes the likes of Dayglocrazie, The F16s, The Koniac Net and Omak Komuk Collective with more to be confirmed.
