Set against the backdrop of the 1947 partition, in Lahore and is about an old Hindu woman, robbed of her son and family as a result of the riots. She refuses to give away the property to a Muslim refugee family from Lucknow.
While the Muslim family has suffered the painful displacement due to Partition, they are desperate to claim the house as theirs and resolve to bringing in local goons for the same. The play has a satirical layer that teaches about the relationship that should exist between the people of different religions.
