Last week, we told you about the alternative things you can do in Delhi and now, inspired by the new MasterChef Australia season, we are focussing on honing your culinary skills. With experts from different walks giving you the chance to learn from their reportoire, we are spoilt for choice. From knowing how to brew a perfect cuppa to rolling a maki – here are 3 great sessions lined up for the week.
Brewing Class
If you only wake up after gulping down some coffee and want to be able to differentiate between smooth and strong, mild, or just a long grind – then this fabulous weekend class is just for you. The team at this cute caffeine-first spot will teach 15 enthusiasts the ins and outs of multiple brewing methods. Barista Ajit Joshi, who has trained and worked in Australia for a number of years, will walk you through processes such as Aeropress, Pour Over, French Press, Cold Brews and even Channi Coffee that you can use at home. The class will begin with a brief roasterie tour and end with a demonstration of latte art by their in-house baristas.

Sushi Masterclass
Along with celebrating their annual Hanami Festival, Guppy is now giving Japanese food lovers like us the chance to meet Chef Vikram Khatri and learn from his sushi rolling skils. With this one day session, you can ,aster different techniques and delicate flavour pairings essential in creating authentic sushi and other traditional dishes. The class will be followed by a sumptuous meal comprising of handmade rolls and a bowl of miso. You also get to take home a recipe set and a certificate. Hooray!

Bringing you the best of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s signature recipes, the Vasant Kunj outlet is where you for an Italian crash course. Every week, you can get your hands on 3 of Jamie’s special (and often secret) recipes and learn how to ace these with the guidance of the Head Chef, who has been trained by Jamie and his culinary team. Each participant gets their own cooking station and the recipes change every week. So what are you waiting for?
