Manohar Kahaniyan - The Suzette Jordan Story

The play takes a jab at the legal system and the media trials which are conducted on the individuals who are accused or are the victims of a crime. It is portrayed with the backdrop of Suzette Jordan, a rape victim from Kolkata and depicts how she was raped again by the authorities, courts and public and not just the men who were accused of the crime.
An English Prison - The Trial Of Suresh Vaidya

The play is about Suresh Vaidya, who was a successful young writer, residing in London with his family. He was imprisoned in Canterbury as he refused to be conscripted in the British Army during World War 2. His case was fought by famous lawyers like Sir Fenner Brockway and Lord Sorensen, and in a far-reaching judgement, the court ruled the British Army guilty and stated that they could not force a man to fight a war because of the fact that he was a colonial subject.

The play takes place on the afternoon of 30 January, 1948, in a hidden place, where a group of men are conspiring to kill Mahatma Gandhi. They decide to hold a mock trial for the assassination and the man posing as the prosecution representative, starts making accusations on the defendant who is posing as Gandhi. The defendant states that he has a strong belief in his principles. Just before 5:05 pm (the time when Mahatma Gandhi was killed), the mock judge sentences the defendant to death.
12 Angry Men

As the debate progresses, tempers start flaring and the personal problems of the jurors start emerging. All of them are forced to look back to the case and rethink about the outcome which they deciding just by looking at the evidences.
