Indian-American actor Kal Penn will be presiding over a stimulating discussion on Cultural Connections in U.S.–India Relations at the American Center. Known for his roles in Harold Kumar and The Namesake, Penn has also taught at the University of Pennsylvania in the Cinema Studies Program as a visiting lecturer. He has also been Associate Director at the White House Office of Public Engagement. The interaction will be followed by a screening of the critically acclaimed The Namesake, directed by Mira Nair.
