The Mexican inspired eatery has a whole new seasonal menu curated by Chef Mauro Mendez that’s bringing delicacies all the way from the mainland. With a plethora of smaller plates aka Antojeria – Mexican street food. We love the Ceviche de Atun (Rs 525) – fresh tuna seasoned with green apple, ginger, lemon and cilantro served with tortilla chips as well as the Burrito de Pollo (Rs 550) – flour tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken, Mexican rice, fried beans, jalapeno slices and chesse. The Guacamole Tradicional (Rs 375) – avocado, tomato, onion, green chili and coriander served with tortilla chips is an authentic take, while in mains, the Pollo en mole Verde (Rs 595) – chicken served with green mole made of fresh herbs and a black bean tamal or the Lomo de huachinango con salsa veracruzana (Rs 675) – red snapper cooked with red and green peppers, tomato, onions, cinnamon, chili olives and capers served with rice is the way to go. There’s also an inspiring section of soups and salads, which are perfect for a light lunch including Sandia (Rs 325) – a cold watermelon and tomato soup served with pomegranate and basil, and the Quinoa Y Frijoles Negros (Rs 450) that’s Mexican style quinoa salad with black beans, peas, capsicum and tomato with pickled jalapeno dressing. Finish with a round of Churros (Rs 350) served with chocolate sauce.

A quaint neighbourhood bar known for its great cocktails, Sandys now has a new menu that throws open a heady world of characters, tales and scents with each exquisitely crafted concoction. The warmer, darker flavours of winter have been replaced with fresh, bright ingredients with a lighter, cleaner profile that mirror the crisp spring air followed by hot summers. Appetisers like Spinach Ricotta Croquettes (Rs 325), Pan Tossed Calamari and Prawns (Rs 449) with tossed peppers, basil and served with rocket leave salad, and Cantonese Prawn Spring Rolls (Rs 449) served with hot garlic sauce will keep you satiated. Vegetarians will love salads like the Burrata Fatta en Casa (Rs 379) – homemade cheese, truffle essence, rucola, balsamic while non-vegetarians can dig into Salmon Gravadlax (Rs 429) served with Garlic aioli, capers, pickeled onion rings and diced marinated cucumber, dill and lime. The chef recommends Sandys Take on Seafood Risotto (Rs 449) with assorted seafood cooked in chorizo oil and paprika finished saffron butter, or the Griller Poached Vegetables with Crispy Fried Silken Tofu (Rs 349) that comes with assorted veggies with tangy tomato sauce.

Celebrating the cherry blossom festival with a delicious menu that’s all things Japanese, they’ve got Savour Sakura Wood Smoked Pumpkin Soup (Rs 350), Seaweed and Mesclun Salad (Rs 350), Salmon Tartar (Rs 750), Cold Soba or Udon (Rs 700) noodles served with Bonito say broth, and Ramen Noodles (Rs 700) topped with prawn and crab stick and more such delicious offerings.
