A quick walk up some steep steps lead you to this beautiful roof complete with thatched cover, wooden benches and a windmill! Perfect for lazy brunches and romantic evenings alike, there’s fusion food, open air cinema nights and live gigs to keep you entertained. Go for their unlimited BBQ (Rs 799 per person) or join us for movie night cocooned in blankets and mattresses this Friday.

Social Chhatt, Hauz Khas Village
Riyaaz Almani’s hotspot sees long queues of folks waiting to enjoy comfort food and interesting tipple almost every day of the week. Launched with a brand new menu, the rooftop is as homely as can be with breathtaking views of the fort. Charpais, moorhas and kambals keep you snug, while piping hot food and easy-on-the-pocket cocktails keep you fuelled. If not for brekkie, then you must check it out for a laidback evening with your gang.

The Piano Man Jazz Club, Safdarjung
The only dedicated jazz club in the city is soon going to open its rooftop and from the sneak peek we got a few days ago, it’s going to be great. Hanging flower pots and pretty facade adorns the space that will be part of their Dirty Apron restaurant. The menu will be completely different from the bar, so watch this space for more.

Lavaash By Saby, Mehrauli
We pride ourselves for bringing you the newest buzz from the city, yet there are always some places that become our favourites. Romantic and quaint, we adore the rooftop (or a terrace as the disagreement continues in our office) at Chef Saby’s new baby. The space overlooks a huge courtyard made bright with fairy lights on trees in the hushed calm of the Ambawatta complex. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with the grub as well as the view, and we recommend their mulled wine to go with Armenian tolmas as well as the chef’s special Lavaash Fish. Side effects include cloud gazing and inability to get up after the divine meal.

This multi-cuisine bistro is decked out with domes, arches, graffiti and even a wine cellar! The wooden benches and a terrace garden setup are their USP with not one but two rooftops. Go there for the Chicken Roulade, but watch out for the smoke from hookahs!

THM is our go-to place for cocktails and hearty fare. With happy hours all day on Tuesday and BBQ brunch on weekends, they give you enough reasons to keep coming back. Interesting gigs under the stars is another big pull while you down your glass of vino.

A tiny French haven in the bustling GK market, this bistro is treasured for its homestyle, unpretentious food with a Parisian flair. Open past midnight, white walls lend a charming aura to the entire space that is a hushed secret only regulars know about. Sink in and try out their Scottish Salmon in Champagne sauce.

Love your sushi? Make reservations at this spacious loft bang in the middle of Khan Market for gourmet treats and a great time. Our favourite neighbourhood bistro is synonymous with food art, jazz by the park and a no-frills space. A constantly evolving menu with French staples and seasonal specials, you#39;re bound to forget your worries as you settle in this cute rooftop, complete with fairy lights and flowers on the table. They have just amped up their menu with juicy gourmet burgers and we can vouch for the sangria here. Try to sneak in working mid-week lunches and weekend dates here. Granted, it#39;s tricky to find this place, but once you do, you#39;ll want to keep going back for more.
