Enjoy an evening of satirical comedy with Haai Paisa Haai, a Hindi musical comedy. The play is based on a common man’s greed of money and negligence of the more important things in life. The story revolves around a villager Pappu and his wife Rampyaari who move to the city away from their simple village life and get caught up in ways of the world.
Even when Pappu dies and goes to heaven, he does not let go of his greed for money and other material things. Eventually he gets thrown out of heaven too.
Through this satirical comedy, the author wants to point out that any big problem starts at the grassroots level. We may blame politicians for big scams but we never look at ourselves. The play educates us about the necessity of acting wisely and taking responsibility for improving the state of our country.
