One of the most talked about new bars in town, Lord of the Drinks upkeeps co-owner Priyank Sukhija’s approach to big launches and is larger than life in every aspect. Located in CP’s suddenly resurgent Outer Circle, LOTD (as it’s popularly known as) has a cover of close to 500! The first floor has tables in nooks and corners you wouldn#39;t find unless you went looking for them, plus a terrace that will be buzzing during good weather days. While the indoor area is done up in good old wood and leather elements with metal additions in the form of armours to suit the name, the terrace has a more laidback lounge theme. We did go in expecting some Lord Of The Rings references, but alas, there were none. The servers are well-informed and prompt, which is a rarity these days and the food menu is vast enough to warrant multiple trips with as many as 5 variations of popular classics like Mac Cheese and Loaded Fries. We loved their sliders and vegetarians can bet on the Mix Veg served with the crispiest chips this side of town. The Crumb Fried Chicken went down well with our cocktail of choice – Warriors Favourite with dark rum, ginger ale and Angostura Bitters. The bitters might be too much for some, but at Rs 195, it’s a must try. Blackjack – a whiskey based drink with hints of lime and blackberry packed with a punch of ginger – was another hit on the table. Most of the bar offerings come at astonishingly low prices and one can settle for a pitcher of Cosmopolitan for under Rs 900. Guess we now know what their name is all about and with that kind of price point, they don#39;t need Happy Hours to pull in a crowd at any time of the week.
