Indian Ocean will be performing live this month to promote Walk For Hope, a walk for peace and harmony organised by Manav Ekta Mission. Formed in 1990, the band has garnered acclaim for its music which is often peppered with Sanskrit shlokas, mythology and a revolutionary spirit. Indian Ocean went through several lineup changes and the band, as it is now, features Amit Kilam (drums, percussion and vocals), Rahul Ram (bass guitar and vocals), Himanshu Joshi (vocals), Tuheen Chakravorty (tabla and other percussion) and Nikhil Rao (guitar). Some of their biggest hits include songs like Bandeh, Kandisa, Ma Rewa and Des Mera.
